If we would ask people around the world which attributes they would give to the political right and left in Israel with regard to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the result most probably would look pretty much like this: Left-wing Israelis: Fair, open-minded, merciful, patriotic, balanced, far-sighted Right-wing Israelis: Arrogant, tricky, stubborn, nationalistic, greedy, pushy It will be very interesting to see which side will come out as the "winner" here. I'm afraid if Israel ever wants find a safe place in the region, the Israeli people will have no choice but to face that (historical) challenge. And that better sooner than later.
