"The IDF's commander in the West Bank, Brig. Gen. Nitzan Alon, refuted Friday the Palestinian claims that a Bil'in woman died as a result of inhaling tear gas" - Haaretz// From the information we have already it can be concluded the Jawaher Abu Rahmah had some pre-existing medical problem(s) such as asthma, as her doctor says. Inhaling the tear gas triggered the breathing problem and brought about her death. This implies that the tear-gas killed her. Does it imply guilt? Only if she was close to the demonstration. The lesson of the story: The IDF should be careful about shooting the tear gas to a distance, and demonstrators should be careful not to risk their lives if they have certain medical conditions. But it is foolish for the IDF to use a non-doctor to claim that the death did not result from the tear gas it used.
