As part of this country, the fact that the haredim feel that studying is more important than protecting the country they live in is disgraceful. Taxpayers pay for them to live, very few of them work, and young soldiers are dying to protect these people. No other country in the world would allow them to live the lives that they are. They should be grateful the amount they receive while vehemently denouncing the state and even having the nerve to not acknowledge the existence of the state they're living in. They can study torah all they want after several years in the army or even come home from the army every day and continue to study.
