This latest IPI adds something to remove recent obstacles put there by Netanyahu, and the Left's response, such as "mutual recognition of the genuine national identities of the two states" and repetition of the principles of the Israeli Declaration of Independence. The deal with Syria follows Barak's thinking (as PM, 2000). Yuval Rabin seems to be following in the footsteps of his father: Not much imagination of his own, but pushing other people's good idea. This is positive too. If Yuval gets assassinated, his IPI might be remembered. Otherwise, Geneva stands as THE major peace program.
