If only one would hear the following at their joint news conference tomorrow: In my discussion with PM netanyahoo, it has become clear that the position of his government and that of the US are not in agreement. PM netanyahoo has shown unprecedented intransigence in refusing to agree to international law and consensus. He has shown no flexibility on the core sticking point in reaching a negotiated settlement and that is Israel's ongoing committment to a disasterous settlement policy and its determination in forcing demographic changes in the population composition in the West Bank and EJeruslaem. The US finds this development unfortunate and will express its displeasure with Israel's position by voted with the rest of the Security Council in the UN in recognising a free and independent palesatinian state within the pre-June 6, 1967 borders with EJ as the capital of that State. I wish PM Netanyahoo a safe return to Israel and wish to state that there is no point to a further visit to this country by him or anyone from his government until that point that Israel shows its willingness to work toward peace.
