Sir, I wonder when Israelis will see their most dire enemies are their coreligionist U.S. citizens who prolong current U.S. policies in the Middle East? The non-Palestinian Sunni militants' entry into the Levant is the Iraq war's direct result, and the champions of that war were Israel's staunchest U.S. supporters. The al-Qaeda-related jihadis were mostly locked up in South Asia, with Saddam the cork in the bottle's neck. Removing Saddam opened a mujahedin highway that is now moving Sunni fighters through Iraq to Israel's front door. I do not believe the United States has a stake in the ongoing Israeli-Muslim religious war;if Israel, Palestine, or both disappear,it would impact America not at all. That said,it is a source of wonder to me that Israelis are content to let their country's death warrant be signed by U.S. citizens who are bellicose on their behalf but snug, bullet-proof, and all-knowing here in North America.
