The Goldstone Commission was at best a preliminary investigation, not a court of law. Yet many of its comments re Israel are expressed as conclusive findings of fact. Its comments re Hamas in contrast are perfunctory. Punches have been pulled. Goldstone also said NOTHING publicly about Hamas staging evidence or pressuring "witnesses" and basically perverting the whole process. Then there's the issue of bias (ie Chinkin and the C/n's Mandate) and justice being seen to be done. As time passes and Hamas forces its faux puritanical ideas down Gazans' throats even Israel's enemies are seeing what gangsters Hamas really are and how they sucked Goldstone in. Goldstone himself has now slammed his sponsor, the UNHCR, for its resolution adopting the report which omitted any reference to Goldstone's allegations (tepid as they are) against Hamas. It's dawning on Goldstone that the UNHRC used his legal reputation and his Jewishness to further its exclusively anti-Israel agenda.
