    In hitting the central bank and Iran’s oil exportation the EU is taking part in the collective punishment of the Iranian people. Not only that, with several EU economies teetering on the brink of collapse any sudden hike in the price of crude could spell disaster. All in all this is an ill conceived plan that is unlikely to change Iran's stance, in fact quite the opposite, it will probably serve to stiffen their resolve.
