Friends, I agree with BM. With Europe's Muslim population exceeding 10% of the total and Europe's Jewish population less than 1%, how can Europe possibly be balanced in it's approach? It cannot. Furthermore, Europe (especially France) usually regards itself as the only counterweight to the U.S. in the world today. Therefore, in order to be viewed as an independent entity with it's own mind and power, it almost always goes against the U.S., simply as a matter of principle. As Jews we should not be suprised, and certainly never turn to Europe for help or co-operation, but rather rely on ourselves and our impartial American friends for assistance in matters of global importance. As for Israel depending on Europe for money...well, I don't think Europe has any of it's own oilfields...
