Back in 1987, I met an Israeli student in England. We had a long chat about politics in a very calm manner. It was the first time I had come face to face to someone from that area. I had told him: bottom lime, you will leave south Lebanon, you will leave Gaza, you will leave the West bank and you will leave the Golan heights..... when the summer is over, the leaves will start to fall, one by one. I was convinced, and he had doubts. He believed in the "israeli might", I believed in ordinary people's resolve to fight oppression and submission. I knew I was right.
