"The Supreme Court is the only institution in Israel that is doing something against it." No, it isn't. Its role has always been to act as a fig leaf for zionism i.e. to justify the inequalities that are built into the system. Very (very) rarely the court will point out that the fig leaf has slipped so much that everyone can see the ugly bits that lie beneath. But don't pretend that the IHCJ is a liberal bulwark against the power of the state. It isn't: it is just one more apologist for the state, and the only reason it has any prestige at all is because it conducts itself with rather more dignity than most apologists.
