and the " Balabosta" of the family, according to my mother, is gradually deteroriating. Like a lot of Israeli children growing up with such mothers, they would qualify and relate to such traits of their mothers. But to many, such characteristic traits challenge their experiences and comfort levels. I remember when former PM Yitzchak Rabin passed away, and First Lady Leah Rabin, who fits these attributes I've described Israeli women, continued to wear her artistic jewelery during the week of mourning (and was criticized for doing so). That week she was being interviewed by ABC's Charlie Gibson on the "Good Morning America" show and with great dignity and enduring love for her opposite personality husband, Yitzchak Rabin, she made Israeli women look proud. All of a sudden, there was lots of background noise like pots and pans in the kitchen which didn't really stop, and she raises her voice a bit and says in Hebrew, " Ma col ha ra'ash azai ? " - " What's all this noise ?" And of course, Charlie Gibson who's not used to this type of Jewish/Israeli interference, can't help but smirk on national TV to the unexpected behaviour. If you want to find something negative about an individual, you'll find it, but true authenticity is quite transparent!
