The entire world opposed the Gaza blockade. Only Turkey took action. As a result of this action, nine people are dead, but the blockade is broken. In the aftermath, people are obsessed with the issue of apology. Lost in this argument is the fact that Turkey's action broke the blockade. This is a lesson to the world. This is a graphic demonstration of what works with Israel and what does not work. Action speaks louder than words. Much louder. I suspect that Erdogan hopes that Israel will not apologize, since there are still the issues of settlement expansion and the oppression of the Palestinians as well as Israels sabotaging of the peace process. There is still a long way to go with Israel and Erdogan would rather have Israel isolated during this process then to have to make nice. My message to Israel? Give Erdogan what he wants. Don't apologize.
