No one writing for Haaretz seemingly every considers the actions of the PLO and enemies of Israel as being contributing factors to the failures of making peace. The PLO has actively refused to acknowledge Israel as a Jewish nation which should have been a precondition for the talks. The PLO has leaked info about the meetings, and made negative comments throughout. Abbas went to meet with the Arab league to gain support to not recognize the Jewish state. There has been constant violence against Israelis throughout the talks including stabbings, shootings, riots, rockets and a bombing attempt. Yet, Israel is always to blame. The PLO demands more and more, and are inflexible in their demands. Israel meanwhile makes more and more concessions and in return receives more demands and threats from the PLO. This is not negotiating in good faith and this is not peace.
