    ... of the sand. This is the standard right-wing party line, that Obama is a crazed leftie who loves deficits and spend, spend, spend. The fact is that he is doing EXACTLY the same thing his predecessor did, as far as the budget goes, which is to try to fiscally stimulate the economy through deficits. The only big difference is that Dubya did it even when the economy did not need any stimulation, which is the bulk of the reason the finance bubble happened in the first place. The Republicans are the architects of the mess we are in. Obama has tried, and largely failed, to dig us out. But you would saddle him with the blame for the mess and then tie his hands to not allow him to find a resolution. What in blazes do you WANT him to do, besides the standard Republican answer: "make the rich richer"?
