The idea that Assad would join in if Israel went to war with Lebanon is just rediculous. The Syrian tanks from the 60s & 70s, their ships that took part in the 1967 & 1973 wars, its Soviet era MIGS with the worst pilots in the region and of course they would have to fight uphill because Israel has the Golan high ground. Any war with Lebanon would have been started by Syria via Hizbollah. Next time there is a flare up with Hizbollah Israel should attack Syria rather than be dragged into a conflict on Hizbollahs home ground & force Lebanon to pay the price for Assads war. Attack Syria the war will be quick & easy and Assad will get the message Lebanon will no longer be allowed to be used as a battlefield for his wars. This speech was for the ears of Obama & Israels left trying to scare them into accepting they must push the Israeli government into doing a deal now on Assads terms. We have heard all this sort of thing from Assad before and so no need to take him seriously now.
