Fpor ten mlonths they stalled, and stalled and made every conceivable excuse. Their end game for teh palis was never to sit and negotiate but to make a unilateral declaration of a state. presumably with 1967 as teh borders. Fayyads only problem is that Un resolutions call for a negotiated settlement for borders on teh disputed territory. No way around that as teh UN will not go against its own order. As for Obama preasuring ISrael. Take a hike Obama, you failed to deliver what you promised and come novemember you will be able to deliver even less. Trying to get Abbas to the table is a non starter he does not want to be there. he does not want to negotiate. He wants all he can get without giving anything in return. I wonder if teh UN will tell him and fayyad "go sit down and negotiate borders" I can hear the Un HRC groups all screaming yes for statehood.... What a fething mess this has turned out to be
