While Israel absorbed a greater number of Jewish refugees than Palestinians that left Israel, the Arab states let their brothers languish in camps for three generations, refusing to absorb them. Worse than that, neither Jordan nor Egypt wanted those parts of Palestine now considered occupied, but were in fact under Arab rule. Why is that? The Palestinians have proven to be a subversive people no matter with whom they are affiliated, and engage in civil war amongst themselves. Giving them handouts indefinitely only perpetuates this disturbing situation. A Palestinian state will not be able to cope with a population dependant so largely on aid. It has to develop itself, and that is not happening. Instead of blaming Israel, Palestine should be building their nation state with the constructive help of other Arab states. Only, it just isn't happening.
