The Arabs of Palestine are not, by their own choice. Had they, their parents, grandparents or great-grandparents not fled in 1948, they would have been eligible for the citizenship they refused. No country in the world ever conquered a land area controlled by another country (and deliberately filled with that country's (Jordan) citizens (in contravention of Article 49 of the Geneva Conventions) ever granted those hostile, foreign citizens citizenship. Find one single example in modern history where any country granted citizenship to a conquered local population, hostile or not, who held another country's citizenship when the land was not formally annexed--other than Jordan between 1948 and 1967 in the West Bank). Show me the international law that forces any country to accept all comers as citizens without exclusion. Your assume something that reeks of the classic comment about assumptions. Do not assume that because you think something is right, the world should follow your opinion... because that's all your comment is-- an accusation unsupported by any real facts.
