Peter Beinart is a legitimate critic of Israel. We Jews understand that a free press is a crucial part of life in American democracy. The people whose grandparents were the core of what Hitler envisioned the thousand year reich owe to themselves and humanity to put down anything that has at its core that which is antisemetic, racist, or xenophobic. Germany did not invent genocide, but it perfected it with the precision we consumers expect from say Diammler or Porche automobile manufacturing. If G-d forbid, my grandparents were evil, I would run in the opposite direction, because I am a moral being. Most Germans were not concerned with German Jewry's Wellfare furring 1933-1945; just like today's apples that fall by the base of their mother tree.
