There is a joint effort being made by America and Israel which is becoming more obvious with each passing day. These two countries, through various representatives and spokesmen, are building their respective cases to start wars, with America attacking Iran and Israel attacking Syria. The timetable would probably call for attacks to begin next summer, give or take a month or two, since Bush leaves office at the end of the year. Any reader of Haaretz will have noticed the large number of articles lately concerning Syria, and a possible war with Syria. American news outlets are covering the American rejection of recent Iranian cooperation and calling for a new round of harsher sanctions. This all seems heavily scripted, especially since there is no unusally aggressive language coming out of Syria or Iran lately. This strategy would avoid the stigma of a joint American/Israeli attack upon an Islamic nation and would leave Israel with a "winnable" war.
