Reading Gideon I am always curious if he and Amira Hass are brother and sister. A close reading of Gideon's ideological polemic shows he is viewing this issue as a "social activist", which generally translates into someone who is disgruntled because they did not get theirs. While in my opinion Peretz is a demagogue given he has been more interested in adavancing certain union constitutencies and benefits than having poor people having upward mobility in Israel, his and Yachimovich's points are well taken. Let us do something about what we can, like poverty in Israel, rather than endlessly trying to deal with the dysfunctionally violent, jew-hating mess that is called the Palestinians. They won't be ready for peace for several decades anyway. Gideon please let us know when you and Amira are blasting off again into make-believe land. Hopefully you can take some of the posters here with you.
