    Livni suggests that honor killngs and murders based on romance are the major sources of the scourge of violence against women, but it seems more likely that there are some people who--for whatever reasons--have an 'abusive personality.' They can and will hurt or even kill people in their circle. There are warning signs, but they are often ignored. Rabbi Abraham Twerski's THE SHAME BORNE IN SILENCE was one of the first books to address domestic violence in the Jewish community. We all need more education in this area, so that we will be more alert to warning signs before tragedy strikes.
