... as, I assume, Mr Obama will be standing for re-election, and needing all the friends he can get - including the US Jewish community. Of course, in politics as in life, he won't get something for nothing, and I am nearly certain he will be placing the 2012 conference plans in his back pocket - most American Jews would be vehemently opposed to rendering Israel defenceless. Regardless, things should improve in November of that year, when Mr Obama is treated to a long retirement pension by the US electorate, and his ideas about unilateral Israeli disarmament treated to deposition in history's dustbin.
