"One possible incentive, according to these officials, is becoming a veto-wielding member at the United Nations Security Council." The Palestinian people appreciate Japan's generous donations and concern for a peaceful resolution to the ME conflict. But, Japan needs to be realistic in their dreams. They are still under American occupation, so how can they become a "veto-wielding member at the United Nations Security Council"? How can Japan, the occupied, veto a resolution put forth by its own master the USA? My advice to Japan is: Get rid of American occupation, regain your sovernity then may be people will take you more seriously and think of you more as an independent and free thinking power and not just as a money-source for financing American projects throughout the globe!
