JOJO, Yes, you made me think. I have dissented the long delinquent recognition by Israel of the Armenian tragedy at the hands of Turks, due to its alliance with Turkey. I think that's wrong. It is a genocide in the precise definition of the term. You are right regarding the construction of a national narrative vis a vis the Russians by the Ukrainians. But dubious national narratives, even if politically motivated, cannot deny the starving to death of millions of Ukrainians in the 1930's. So if we refuse to say "genocide" and treat it as a sort of Stalinist "negligence" just because of the politics involved, we abandon millions of victims out of the shelter of memory, as Isaiah said: Yad Vashem; A monument and a name. Am I wrong?
