    Thank you Gideon, for your astute reflection. You are right character assassination would not work on Richard Goldstone. But still people will choose to believe what they want to believe. They will say it was the UN and forget Goldstone's part in it. But thanks to people like you and to Haaretz readers change will happen whether that is through boycott as called by Naomi Klein, Neve Gordon and others or through other civic actions. Eventually the consciousness of the community will be raised to acknowledge the mistakes of the past and present so as to make way for new possibilities of all human beings in this region regardless of background living together in peace.
