I live in Bet Shemesh -- Ramat Bet Shemesh Aleph. We live usually in peace with many different neighbours and no problems. This is and has been an ongoing battle of a fanatic fringe element from Meah Shearim. There are no Rabbis supporting this. There are no moderates, nor normal individuals supporting this. And, no, you wouldn't be able to take public money from them because frankly they have nothing to do with the state. We need to BUILD PEACE, and HARMONY between people to offset this -- not more and more publicity to talk about it. How about we try and create a positive talk. IT IS WRONG WHAT THEY ARE DOING. NO ONE DENIES THAT. Let's not become like them and add fuel to fire. Let's talk about how we are ONE PEOPLE. How we are blessed with living together in the Holy Land. How we are blessed to live in a safe place, free to have personal expression. Please. Let's try.

The dating shame: Orthodox obsession with externals

As a married woman, I get to see the other side of the dating world these days – that of the ‘matchmaker’ – and wonder what message is being sent to my generation of bright, religiously passionate women
