I went on the Gaza Freedom March last December. Before I left I made sure my will was up to date. I did this because I am aware that the IDF would have no problem shooting an unarmed American woman trying to end the inhuman siege of Gaza. Is that a martyr? No, I had no desire to die, but I knew I had to do what my own government won't and that is end this horrible siege. The Israeli Foreign Ministry is pandering to Islamophobia for the right wingers in Israel and the US with their latest "release". Why did the IDF take all the film footage from the reporters (& passengers) on the flotilla. So the flotilla folks aren't all pacifists, they never claimed to be. I never made it out of Cairo, let alone into Gaza, but I will try again and I will support others who try to end the siege. I support equal human rights for all in Israel/Palestine. If I am complicit with silence when my government supports racism & anti-semitism, I am guilty.
