In 1967 Temple Mount was supposed to be made accessible to people of all religions as it is the holiest place in Judaism not the Kotel. but successive Israeli governments have got more and more oppressive to Jews because they don't want to upset the Waqf. Jewish accessibility is limited, Jews get strip searched to make sure they are not carrying any prayer materials, they turn a blind eye to theWaqf illegal digging & destruction of archeology. An arab government would be even more oppressive to Jews. We need an international trust that neither Israel or any muslim countries are part of. It would not be part of the UN to avoid getting dragged into UN politics. Its mandate would be solely to run the site which means being responsible for any construction, they must be the ones to say if construction can or cannot be carried out and if its granted it must be supervised. Archeology must be protected. A small synagogue should be built away from the mosque complex and whilst it would not hold any formal services Jews could go visit anytime of the year and pray in peace. The Waqf would be responsible for the mosque complex only. This is the only way to ensure the site itself & its arehcology re protected and it is accessible to Jews AS IT SHOULD BE. Temple Mount is not a settlement to barter so it must not be given to the PA.
