I have written to Chief of Police Yohanan Danino to express my disappointment that the police should be backing up Rabbi Rabinowitz's claims by arresting women who want to pray with a tallit. Halacha does not forbid it so why should the State of Israel? The taxes I pay to the state go in part to pay for the Police Department. I won't stop paying taxes but I have the right to demand that the police uphold the law justly, and not serve as the lackeys of a biased, misogynistic establishment.
