I was in Beirut in September taking part in the 30 year commemoration of the massacre of Sabra and Shatila. There were colleagues from the United States attending. I find it rather pathetic that the crew of "Homeland" had to use Tel Aviv/Jaffa as a very unconvincing stand-in for Beirut. It just symbolises the isolated position of the USA in the Middle East.
