American school children learn about the terrible Holocaust perpetrated by the colonists against the native Americans as the colonists came from abroad to steal the lands of those who were here first. Yes, it did take time for Americans to learn the true horrors of the slaughter of at least 20 million native Americans but that horror is no longer kept away from America's schools. One would hope that the narrative of every people who have lost their homes, lands and lives because of another people would be made known to all. Certainly there is no one who would say that the terrible Holocaust against the Jews should not be taught. The same goes for the Nakba.
