We could export say up to 30% because of one thing its the only way to make any money on the stuff and we have not invested a single shekel in this gas drilling so we need to allow the companies who do the exploration to export some if they want to. We do not want all of it going straight to Israel Electric. At the same time we do this we should privatise IE and create different electric companies which individuals can choose and switch the way they do cellphone then they have to offer good pricing deals and the new gas will allow them to do that. As long as IE is a monopoly doesn't matter what they pay for the gas if they don't want to pass on the savings to the customer so the average Israeli gets nothing out of it. We should also remember money from the gas comes as a steady income and the bulk of the profits goes to the investors so there is no sudden windfall of billions so there probably won't be any noticeable benefits to the public, certainly doubt will be lowering taxes so lets not get to caught up in the hype of all the wonderful things this gas is going to do for us and how many billions its worth.
