the author's argument would make perfect sense if the land was in fact Arab. In reality, what makes the land over the green line any less Jewish than the land inside it? The fact that jewish militias were successful in capturing land inside of the line in 1948 and were stopped by the Arabs before the incursion into the West Bank? The mindset that Israel-proper is Jewish, and that West Bank is not can only be based on this accident of history. In reality, both parts are inherently Jewish not because of Jewish military victories in 1948, but because of Jewish connections to the land that date back 3000 years. Considering our history, the settlers are only taking back the remnants of the land that we began to liberate in 1948.
