Syria is very much like Iraq and even more split, you have the Sunni, Christian, Druze, Kurds and the Alawis so I think that Asad is keeping it all well under control. His isolation is much due to Syria?s foreign policy that always aligned itself with the extreme countries such as Iran, Cuba, and Russia that sent all the arms to Syria, Korea and groups like Hezbulah and Hamas these are Syria?s friends. I think that Asad realized that it is time for a change because these friends just suck Syria all these years but first he must show some action First I will suggest is to kick the Hamas leader out.
