"The peace agreement with Egypt, which included the return of the Sinai peninsula, including Taba, was Israel's most important strategic gain in the past 30 years. The return of Shaba Farms as a down payment for the Golan Heights could repeat this achievement in the north." - Eldar Hizballah can be eliminated if Syria stops supporting it (by not allowing weapons in). This is well known. What Syria wants is the Golan back; it is theirs according to all int'l laws. But Israel thinks short term and wants to keep the Golan (and not even respond to a Syria peace offer). And the US considers Syria a leper because it supports "terrorists" (actually anti-Israel fighters having no business with the US). Would Syria agree to even give away the Shabaa farm so that Israel keeps the Golan? Expect Syria non-cooperation even in the Shabaa handover.
