could it be that israel's right wing is simply in bed with the right wing in the united states? jumping at any chance to make obama look weak? that seems to be the most plausible explanation. otherwise, israel will have to join other nations and ask themselves (as the author has hinted) if stopping assad's butchery is not comparable to stopping hitler's, or idi amin's, or hussain's, etc. this is a chance to stand high on the moral ladder and nations should accept the responsibility and act accordingly. in addition, i cannot believe israel does not have critical information that would shed more light on the subject of assad's regime using chemical weapons. i would like for them to share it, even if it casts doubt on who is to blame. at times like these, we all need information. (except for the russians and chinese who seem willing to take assad's explanation for everything.)

from the article: Israeli critics of Obama should ask: Why hasn't Netanyahu acted on Syria?
