If Assad's time is up, who's time has arrived? Al-Qaeda's in Syria? Pan-Islamic Jihad? While 'The West' is cheering on 'The Rebels' and endlessly predicing Assad's downfall, who do they think will take over from him? Or do they think that far? If at all? Regime 'change' descends into Jihadist anarchy. All the region is endangered. Everyone would have been better off with a stable and viable regime in power. Now we may have generations of chaos as all the powers vie for influence and predominance. The West really has shot itself in the foot this time...
