After Netanyahu says he would wait for a new U.S. president to reach a better military deal for Israel, American officials fire back.00:09 08.02.16 | 5 comments
The U.S.- Israeli relationship has been so close over the years that it is difficulty to identify an existing boundary between them. Naturally in such a relationship unrealistic expectations of one by the other will be the rule rather than the exception. Israel has gained immensely in this relationship but the benefits Israel deems important, the prolonged occupation, the settlements and the related attendant real estate investments are also a liability in that they are the principal obstacle to peace. It appears Washington is no longer in a position for diverse reasons to continue supporting the status quo. Without continued U.S. input, Israel will find herself up the creek without a paddle.
