You're correct Mark. What I'm implying is that now, there is no grand strategy for survival, and the splintered political system with many political parties and varying and divergent political interests is causing political and therefore military stagnation. This has allowed military threats to materialize. In fact Israel's short sighted actions of premature withdrawals combined with a refusal to clearly identify threats for reasons of political survival is becoming almost suicidal, in today?s world of developing dangers. Israel again needs a Ben Gurion .
