Zionism claims that the only true home for all Jews in Israel. Everywhere else, Jews live an artificial existence. Zionism believes that for millenia Jews have been longing to return to Zion, to rid themselves of the yoke of exile and oppression. Finally, in 1948, that millenia long dream became a reality and the Jews could fullfill their dream of returning to Zion, the land they longed to go to, leaivng behind their lands of oppression? Is this the case. Then were these Jews leaving their home countries eagre to get out, anxious to fulfill their millenia long dream, forgetting where they were from, fully identifying with the new Land of Israel, land of milk and honey, hopes an dreams? So whats the gripe? If in some cases, property was confiscated then compensation for that should certainnly be discussed. Do you think the Palestinians after just over 50yrs of being driven from their homes have any less desire to return as the Jews did after almoast 2000?
