    First of all, it is stupid to emphasize that men need a woman to get children. Isn't it the other way round as well? Secondly, in Europe exists the possiblilty to make a contract between a couple, without marrying, giving them the same legal status. Technically you solve the problem, but practically it is all the same and thus nothing has been gained!
