Keeping silent vis-s-vis Erdogan in order not exacerbate the present tension will partially serve to defuse the volatile situation existing between Israel and Turkey right now; but proffering the apology and the offer of compensation to the families of the slain Mavi Marmara crew-members that Erdogan requested may just take the wind out of his sails altogether.
