My understanding is that Britain only decriminalized homosexuality in the 1970s, so really, Israel is only tracking a few years behind one of the most advanced and liberal of Western societies. If I remember correctly, the US was still arguing about this well into the 1990s, so Israel is still tracking well ahead of the US. In any event, I can't tell if this person is upset about the status of LGTB people in Israel or upset about the occupation.Personally I think she's just upset because Israel gets (and deserves) credit for doing something right.
