'Questioning the fairness of the courts is to question the justice of the Kingdom and its judicial system based on Islamic law,' claims Justice Ministry.19:30 26.11.15 | 0 comments
There is something decidedly odd and off-putting about Mr. Kirchuk's need to have the Holocaust acknowledged as something uniquely horrible and particular to the Jews. One problem with this is that the Holocaust was not particular to the Jews - many other groups deemed to be sub-human were also consumed in its fires. But what is off-putting is this need to insist that the Jewish people suffered more than anyone else. To people in the non-Western world, who are well-acquainted with atrocity and suffering, the Holocaust is just another tragedy among many others. But even if it were not, what does this prove? The only real point is to put a greater burden on the Jewish people not to abuse others. It does not provide an excuse for abuse.
