Israel's Foreign Ministry ordered to 'reassess' EU involvement with Palestinians after decision to label West Bank goods; 'decision is almost completely devoid of any real significance,' official says.23:15 29.11.15 | 10 comments
In all the discussions about this issue everyone eventually acknowledges that any military strike will not stop Iran from developing nuclear arms. It will only delay their programme. And this delay is not long. Not five, not ten years but months. So what is the point of risking world war and/or global economic meltdown for the sake of a few months? Iran will have the bomb. The world had better get used to it and figure out how to deal with that situation. What right do western countries have to tell another country that they are not allowed to have weapons that we already possess. When the west talks about commitments to nuclear non-proliferation they mean that nuclear arms should not proliferate outside of the existing club of nuclear armed nations. Nobody talks about giving up their membership of the nuclear club. As far as Israel is concerned well go ahead attack another country, it's what you have done on a regular basis for the whole of your existence, but count me and the rest of the world out of it.
