    No. The resolution they have in mind would likely escalate military action - as per Libya. They think that might put a regime in power, just as bloody as the current one, that looks more favourably to the West. Given the experience of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya where we now have similar brutality and increased influence for Islamist actors I wonder why they persist. I guess it must be good for business, too.
