Until the Arab states stop blaming the West for their problems - something you are also eager to do - there will continue to be only bitter conflict in the region. A healing process cannot start until those who find themselves in positions of power address the real causes of poverty and economic under achievement. The answers will not be found in continuing to pass the buck onto the West. It may be an easy way of buying popularity for themselves but it won't solve anything. Yes, the West has not emerged from the history of the region with an untarnished reputation and acknowledging this is one thing but to carry on with the blame game rather than addressing the real problems is just a waste of time.
