The West Bank is occupied territory. ALL Palestinians in the West Bank are "protected persons" under the definitions in the Geneva Conventions. All. Of. Them. No. Matter. Where. They. Came. From. No. Matter. What. They. Do. This order claims the right to expel Palestinians (i.e. "protected persons") FROM the West Bank (i.e. "occupied territory") TO the Gaza Strip. You all need to read Article 49 of Geneva Convention IV, because there you will see there that doing such a thing is UNCONDITIONALLY PROHIBITED. So the only way this military order can be "legal" is if the Gaza Strip is **still** Israeli-occupied territory. Think about that. Think long and hard about that. Because - very clearly - Maj. Gen. Gadi Shamni didn't give this nearly enough thought when he came up with this brainwave.
